MITCHELL – Barbara Ann Grider, 78, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

Born May 13, 1934, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of William Marvin and Mary Jane (Elrod) Ray.

She married Don Richard Grider September 13, 1958, and he preceded her in death September 16, 1985.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, traveling, spending time with her family, and going to the boat. Barbara attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving: daughters, Kelley (Rick) Woods, Florida
Traci Jo (Jon) Greathouse, Huron
Kristi (Mike) Roach, Mitchell
10 grandchildren
5 great grandchildren
brother, James Ray, Mitchell

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Bonds Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
