WILLIAMS — Barbara Carolyn Johnson, 75, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born February 21, 1938, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Leland F. and Maude M. (Mitchell) Chapman.  She married Lloyd Vernon Johnson June 30, 1956, and they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in June.

Barbara had been a nurse’s aide at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and retired July 14, 2003, with 28 years of service.  She graduated from Williams High School in 1956.

Her parents; son, Alan L. Johnson; and daughter; Janice Marie Edwards, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Port William Cemetery with Karen Johnson officiating.
