MITCHELL – Bert Everett Mounce, 69, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born September 4, 1948, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Greenie and Ruby (York) Mounce.  He married Linda Faye Cooney, July 9, 1967.

Bert drove Bus No. 19 for Mitchell Community Schools 30+ years. He had also been employed at Shelby Trucking for ten years.  Bert enjoyed farming and rebuilding tractors.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, at Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
