MITCHELL – Betty Ann Tanksley, 90, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born July 27, 1926, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Danner and Minnie (Wood) Brooks.  She married Raymond Tanksley July 27, 1945.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1944.

Her parents and siblings, William Thomas Brooks, Gene Brooks, Zack Danner Brooks, Jon Brooks, Mary Rosenberger, and Charlene Hawk, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
