MITCHELL – Brenda Joyce Barlow, 60, passed away at 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born January 21, 1954, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Sonny and Virginia (Higgs) Harper.  She married John Barlow March 2, 1970.

Brenda was a nurse’s aide and had been employed at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.  She attended the Wesleyan Church.

                  daughter, Rebecca Barlow, Mitchell
        granddaughters, Lacey and Brianna
 great granddaughters, Makayla and Nakia
                    siblings, Roger Harper, Florida

                                Donald Harper, Mitchell
 
                               Linda Borum, Hammond
 
                               Sharon Harper, North Carolina
                                Sheila Morris, Florida

Her mother, Virginia Morris; father; and sister, Cathy Harper, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, at Haverly Funeral Chapel and Cremation with Reverend Steve Jones officiating.   Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
