DUNWOODY, GEORGIA – Charles E. “Chuck” Farkas, Jr., 91, formerly Zionsville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at his residence.

Born November 2, 1924, in South Bend, he was the son of Charles E. and Barbara Farkas.  He married LuAnn Quigley August 22, 1948.

Chuck was a graduate of Franklin College. Prior to retirement, he worked as an ombudsman for the Office of the Aging, State of Indiana.  He was a member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church and an avid Notre Dame football fan.

He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1942-1945 and again in 1951.

His parents and sisters, Ann Pearson and Viola Troutman, preceded him in death.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
