CAMPBELLSBURG – Clifford Laverne Pruett, 76, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at his residence.

Born November 30, 1937, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Homer Moore and Gertrude Mae (Terrell) Pruett.  He married Sharon Louise Green December 2, 1960.

Clifford retired from General Motors and was a 1956 graduate of West Baden High School.   He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 250, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, and the Honor Guard.  He was a member of Bonds Chapel United Methodist Church.

His parents; brothers, Elza Jackson Pruett, Gordon Dale Pruett, and Carl Nelson Pruett; and step great grandson, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Kevin Lewis officiating.  Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
