BEDFORD – Derek Dwayne Middleton Finney, 14, his mother, Stacey Dawn Orman-Glotzbach, 36, and brother, Chayce Christopher Glotzbach, 4, passed away at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in Bedford.

Derek was born November 18, 1998, in Bedford, the son of Stacey Dawn Finney.

He was a seventh grader at Bedford Middle School.

Surviving:     stepfather, Skye Orman-Glotzbach, Bedford
                           sister, Tessa Dawn Finney, at home
               grandparents, Valena and John Whitner, Bedford
       great grandmother, Bettie Osborne, Mitchell

His great grandfather, Henry Osborne, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. John Lane officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

I can't believe he is gone. Derek was a lot of fun. He loved The Wiggles, dancing, going to Walmart, Mr. Gattis, and Burger King, taking pictures of himself with the classroom iPad, playing on the computer, but most of all, he loved his mother. I take comfort in knowing they are together. I'll never forget him. My prayers go out to Gram-Gram, Tessa, and Skye.
