Like my brother said, Don was our third grandpa and I will miss our amazing neighbor. He always made me smile. And him and Maryann were amazing fill in grandparents on grandparents day and we were so proud to have them there with us. Don was so sweet and kind and I will miss him greatly, but so happy he got to watch me grow up. My thoughts and prayers are with Maryann and Don't family. Love, Emily

Don was truly an amazing man and was a third Grandpa to me. He was always extremely kind and included me in projects and even asked me to be in a Carpenter's advertisement. I'll always remember the woodshop Don had and the Dr. Pepper airplane he made me that I had hanging from my bedroom ceiling. Don will be deeply missed and I'm glad that I had the chance to spend the time I did with him.

Don was our neighbor, and friend, since we moved across the street from him and Maryann 32 years ago. He was always there to help us or our kids, he aired up alot of flat bike tires over the years. One year when my children had no grandparents able to attend grandparents day he and Maryann filled in, they saved the day for a then six and eight year old. Don made Seth and Emily wooden toys that we will always cherish. Don and Maryann rescued me and a then one and two year old , when we locked ourselves out very early in the morning and fed us.I will always remember his kindness. We could have not have had a better neighbor and friend in Don, he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Maryann and his family. Mark and Pat
