MITCHELL — Eva Margaret Garrison, 86, passed away at 4:26 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born September 9, 1927, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Kirzie Holbert and Blanche (Davidson) Pridemore.  She married James Wallace “Watsy” Garrison September 30, 1944, and he preceded her in death June 14, 1989.

Eva was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church.

Pridemore, Leon Pridemore, Kenneth Pridemore, Winfred Pridemore, Mary Jane Pace, James Pridemore, Clarence Pridemore, Ronald Eugene Pridemore, Henry Pridemore, Harold Dean Pridemore, Marvin M. Prideomre Carolyn Anderson, and Juanita Pridemore, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Mitchell Cemetery with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    Grandma, you will always be in my heart and I will make sure my kids know about you and how special you was. It still feels unreal that your gone! Still hoping I wake up and it all was just a dream. I have so many memories that I will forever cherish and will keep close to my heart. One memory I will always remember and will be sure to tell my children is when you use to babysit me when I was younger and we heard sirens going off like there was a tornado and you threw me under the matress lol and come to find out It was just Mitchell winning a game lol all the police cars and fire trucks came by your house honking from where they won lol you always did make sure us kids was safe. I love you grandma and I cant wait for the day I get to see you and hear your voice again! You can finally meet my little Kyler :)

    We were deeply saddened to learn of Eva's passing. She was the best neighbor we could ever have had and she was always a joy to be around..     Eva was such a dear soul. I loved talking with her at the family reunions and anytime I would run into her. We always shared a laugh or two. I will forever remember her ornery personality and her young-at-heart disposition. She will forever remain in my heart.
