MITCHELL – Evelyn Marie Guthrie, 91, passed away at 12:38 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.
Born June 18, 1921, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Harvey and Cassie (Woods) Guthrie.
She retired from Holcomb and Hoke in Indianapolis in 1990. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.

Her parents; daughters, Marilyn Jeanette Arthur and Sharon Johannas; brother, John Guthrie; sisters, Marilou Chapman, Louise Guthrie, Helen Allen, Gladys Guthrie, and an infant sister preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Haverly Chapel Funeral and Cremation with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
