I've known Gene since I was six years old. He was one of many that took me under his wing and danced my feet off with the Spring Mill Squares. No matter where we traveled with the club he always made sure I was included and got to dance with them, being the youngest in the club I didn't have a dancing partner so Gene and many of the other men always made sure I got to dance. I'll never forget getting to carry our club banner in the Indy 500 parade. Thanks Gene for all the memories. Prayer to the family.
