BEDFORD – Franklin Eugene Chastain, 80, passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born January 12, 1935, in Lawrence County, he was the son of John and Nina (Lamb) Chastain. He married Marjorie Ann (Easley) Chastain June 14, 1981.
He retired from General Motors with 32 years of service and also retired from NSWC—Crane. Frank was a member of UAW Local No. 440.
He was a U. S. Army veteran.

His parents and brother, Walter Chastain, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the New Union Christian Church with the Dr. Robert Courson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors accorded by Gillen Post No. 33 American Legion.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.
