Missing Aunt Gertrude's wonderful laugh, such a painful loss on this side of eternity. But I can almost hear Aunt Getrude, my mom (Bernice, Aunt Getrude's little sister), Aunt Ruth and Grandma Swartz laughing it up on that side of eternity while Grandpa Swartz makes his silly jokes. What a blessing it will be when we are all reunited with family and our blessed Lord for all eternity! "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." --1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)

I want to wish my condolences to the family. I remember as a child being invited to dinner with the family with Kathy and I was made most welcome. I remember Mrs. Carlson as my idea of the ideal mother. I am sure she will be greatly missed. I was saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with the family at this time.

There are so many good memories of Norman and Gertrude it would be hard for me to name just one. I will never forget the praise gatherings, the times we shared the piano and organ and the many times Carol visited with our kids on Brook Street. These are just a few. May God Bless.
