MITCHELL – Grace Thelma Noe, 97, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 15, 1920, in Cowpens, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Russell and Rhoda Darcas (Bryant) Fletcher.  She married Ray W. Noe December 24, 1937, and he preceded her in death April 12, 2000.

Grace was owner of Noe’s Chicken House and had also been employed at Nick Spaulding’s Drive-In.  She loved doing things with her family and attended Fishing Creek Chapel.

Her parents; husband; daughter, Deborah Noe; and five brothers and one sister, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Memorial Chapel of  Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Darrin Chastain officiating.  Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Lawrenceport Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

    my sympathies and thoughts go out to the Noe family. Bobby and I were classmates at Mitchell High School, with lots of memories of his wonderful Nash. Charlie and I shared many happy memories at the Persimmon Festival for many years. I remember your Mother all the way back to the restaurant at Four Points. Wow, what a lady. Rest in peace Mrs. Noe. You and your family played a large part in many fine memories in the lives of many more people than you can possibly imagine growing up back then in Mitchell.
