MITCHELL – Helen Joyce “Honey” Shuler, 77, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2016, at her residence.

Born July 13. 1939, in Lee County, Virginia, she was the daughter of Richard and Flora (Arnold) Shelton.  She married John I. Shuler June 14, 1957, and he preceded her in death September 13, 2009.

She had been employed at Essex International and retired from Visteon Ford.  She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Her parents; husband; and siblings, James Shelton, Buford Shelton, Mac Shelton, Melba Williams, and Betty Williams, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Wade Judy officiating.  Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Casketbearers:  Larry Beasley, Zach Beasley, Ezra Beasley, Michael Griffin, Bucky Eldridge, and Stoney Eldridge.

    I worked with Joyce at Essex and again later at Ford/Visteon. She was a good and caring woman who was a joy to be around. I express my deepest sympathies to the family. She will be missed.
