 MITCHELL – Jack Dean Newton, 69, passed away Wednesday evening, January 4, 2017, at his residence.

Born April 5, 1947, in Monroe County, he was the son of Dean Fredrick and Sara (Egan) Newton.

Jack was from Solsberry and attended Solsberry Elementary School and Eastern-Greene High School.  He was a mason and carpenter.

Jack was a U. S. Army veteran and deployed in Germany.

Cremation was chosen with no scheduled service.
