SPRINGFIELD, VIRGINIA — Janice A. Chastain, 88, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Wirtz, Virginia.
Born August 3, 1926, she was the daughter of Barney and Ruth (Whitted) Alexander.
Janice graduated from Mitchell High School in 1946, moved to Virginia, and spent her career as a secretary in the Pentagon.

Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, at Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Brenda Ludwig officiating.
