 MITCHELL – John William Gaiser, 85, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.

Born October 11, 1932, in Tipton, he was the son of Otto and Geneva (Illeges) Gaiser.  He married Sally S. Eckstein December 26, 1954.

John was an electrical engineer and retired from Motorola and also Swiss Colonies.  He enjoyed camping and traveling and was a member of NOMADS.  John was a member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church.

John was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korea-Alaska era.

Dennis Richard (Georgia) Gaiser of Noblesville
Matthew Clinton Gaiser of Mitchell
three grandchildren
eight great grandchildren

Joseph (Lillian) Gaiser of Tipton

His parents and son, Jeffrey William Gaiser, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Ed Fisher officiating.  Burial will be Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Gaiser, i'm very very sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed the times i had with John. He made/helped Bible study be far more than just reading the Bible. And our trips to Washington Wal-mart a SPECIAL outing each and every time! I will pray for you each night and if you need/want to i, will take you to my church, Liberty Baptist Church with me on Sunday mornings OR Sunday nights. God will Bless and hold YOU ma'am.
