MITCHELL – Kellie Jo Johnson, 52, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born June 9, 1965, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Albert Tolbert and Shirley (Caraway) Bowden.  She married Joey R. Johnson June 10, 1983.

Kellie was an LPN and had been employed at Hoosier Uplands and Rest Care Home Health.  She was a member of the First Church of God and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship.  Kellie graduated from Mitchell High School in 1983.  She loved animals and flowers, and enjoyed being outdoors with friends and family.  Kellie was very proud of her boys.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, at the Bride of Christ Fellowship with Brother Jerry Allen and Reverend Paul Flores officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the church.

    What I remember about Kellie is that she loved Joe from a young age. I remember her laugh and her smile. She was a beautiful soul. Rest in peace, my friend! Prayers for Joe and the entire family!
