The world has lost a kind and compassionate person, and heaven has been blessed with an angel! Larry was one of the most unselfish , kind and loving human beings that I had the privilege of having touch my life. He was a wonderful husband and caregiver for my sister through all of her lifes illnesses, he stood beside her and never complained of anything it took to keep her safe and healthy eventhough at time his own health suffered. We have many wonderful family memories with Larry, and one or two that I must share. He was the biggest kid of all at Christmas. It was tradition in our family on Christmas morning to ring the Christmas bells to wake everyone up and the first one up got the priviledge of doing that,,,,of course it was always LARRY,he got the biggest kick out of that,I was sure he never slept a wink!!! He also always was a prankster but took being pranked very good as well. One year at Christmas we wrapped a board with contact paper and he had the hardest time trying to figure out how to unwrap it, it was great fun. Oh and all of the Spring Mill Family reunions,we will never forget the good times Larry, YOU WILL BE MISSED,WE LOVE YOU!! Now you and Becky go dance in heaven,,,,until we meet again-------------------

Papaw Larry was one of two of the best grandfathers I could ever ask for. I remember our fishing trips to Boggs and I caught a snake and we laughed at the funny sight. He helped teach me how to clean the fish we caught. I remember cooking good food in his kitchen and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy trying to guess the answers. I remember helping him build amazing things at his homemade workbench. He'd prank me once in a while. He taught me how to play Solitaire and Blackjack as a kid. I'd remember going out to get a snack and sit somewhere in Mitchell either watching them build the stage for the Persimmon Festival or just watching the environment around us. I remember take drives through Spring Mill. He was good to everyone even if they were in a sour mood. He'd try to make me, my brothers, and Alexa happy in whatever way he could. He was an amazing person. Grandfather, teacher, cook, wood crafter, ear to hear you, shoulder to cry on, best friend, a ray of sunshine on your cloudy day.....he was all of these to me and more. I will miss him dearly but I know he will be with Mamaw and hurt no more. Miss you already Papaw. But not to worry. Give it time and I will see you and Mamaw again. Love you always, Your Peahead
