Larry spent the biggest part of 30 yrs. helping with the Mitchell Girls Softball League. He prepared the field for games. He umpired games, he kept score and was the P.A. announcer. All the girls as well as the coaches really liked Larry. In 1994-1997 we together took over the Little League Boys program for 4 years and Larry was instrumental in that being a success. In 1998 we started the Firecracker Classic at the girls field and with Larry's help that was a July 4th celebration that lasted for 10 years. So Larry you have done your part in our community now is your time to rest in peace. So long my friend until we meet again!

Larry lived next door when he was four or five. He was just a very sweet little guy. I was in my early teens then. Mildred named jerry after me. Would someone ask jerry to contact me at 317 891-0889. Wish I had known Larry as an adult. Very sorry for your loss.

Memories of my classmate (63) and brother from the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home go back to 1958. One bad thing about leaving the Home, most of us lost contact with each other. Every year we gathered back in Knightstown for Homecoming. On our 25 year, Larry came back to sit with the 63 graduates and share his years apart with us. He was still as kind and funny as when we were in school. I was so happy to meet Renee, his wife and know that he had found a happiness. RIP my dear friend.
