WEST LAFAYETTE — LaRue Norman Johnson, 87, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette.
Born October 28, 1928, in Leipsic, he was the son of Norman and Faye (Stephenson) Johnson. He married Shirley Ann Isom December 26, 1951.
LaRue graduated from Orleans High School in 1946 and Purdue University in 1950. He had been employed as an engineer for Sealtest Dairy and was also a farmer. He was a member of Carters Creek Christian Church and Rob Morris Masonic Lodge No. 282 F. & A. M.
LaRue was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Wade Judy officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Christian Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Rob Morris Masonic Lodge No. 282 F.& A. M. will conduct a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
