EVANSVILLE — Leah Ruth Beyers, 84, passed away at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at North Park Nursing Center, where she was visiting for a few days.
Born August 17, 1929, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Leslie Lee and Ruth Alene (Schreibner) Beyers.
Leah was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed going to church, listening to music, and had many friends, including her friends at Evansville ARC.
Surviving: brothers, Daniel Lee (Diana) Beyers, Bedford
Joseph Leslie (Brenda) Beyers, Bedford
sisters, Della Sue Wildman, Louisville, Kentucky
Mae Blossom (Danny) Weddle, Evansville
several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles
Her parents, and twin sisters, Hope Beyers, and Faith Beyers, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Danny Weddle officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be scheduled later in Evansville.
