 SARASOTA, FLORIDA — Lowell “Bill” Tolbert, 74, formerly of Shoals, passed away June 28, 2014, in Sarasota.

Born July 28, 1939, in Martin County, he was the son of Archie and Virginia (McBrayer) Tolbert.

Bill grew up across the highway from the National Gypsum Company in Shoals, attended the Little Red School, Center Point School, and Shoals High School before moving to Florida.  He retired after 50 years in the home construction business in Florida, working more than 32 years for the same business.

                             Wilma Eagen, Bedford
                brothers, Albert Tolbert, Mitchell
                              George Tolbert, Paoli
                              several grandchildren

His parents; and sisters, Mary Maxine and Frances Pauline, preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Port William Cemetery.
