MITCHELL – M. Pauline Smith, 88, Mitchell, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 5, 1918, in Orleans, she was the daughter of James Albert and Minnie (Edwards) Isom. She married Gayle F. Smith November 21, 1940, and he preceded her in death January 26, 2001.
She had been a salesperson at the LaMode Dress Shop in Kokomo. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1937, was a 75-year member of the First Baptist Church, and belonged to Order of Eastern Star No. 352, and the Mitchell Manor Red Hat Society and Bell Choir.

Her parents; husband; brother, Edward Isom; sister, Geneva Williams; and niece, Linda Stillson, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Graham officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
