Memories! I could not visit often with Mark but we always had a good time when we were together. As he grew up I could tell he had become a thoughtful and imaginative man. Our generation of King children, when there was time away from chores at the old homestead, used to play on a big flattish rock in the shadow of an enormous old beech tree. That rock was big enough to hold five or six children at a time. Imaginations had no limit. Sometimes it was a car; sometimes a truck; sometimes a 1940's airplane. Every one helped the chosen driver by humming like a noisy car or whatever. When nature decided that old tree had served long enough, Mark made me a clock from its wood that I treasure for the memories that it brings of childhood days and of Mark. In my memory, he will always be my little brother. His sister Nancy

I am sorry for your loss. I enjoyed coming to visit your home with my parents and siblings. Like my brother, Kenan, I enjoyed our trip down to the old homestead. I have a memory of a picture of Mark on Facebook, it was taken with Uncle Warren. They had gone fishing and were emnjoying being together.

It was my mistake in writing to quickly it was Mark who took us up in the four-wheeler with David's help. I will cherish that moment and picture. Your family surrounds you with love.

Thinking of you all during this time. Uncle David was so very kind to host my mother Nancy back to the old homestead on her last trip to Indiana. I still have their picture together on the four-wheeler. She had a grand time!! You are in our thoughts and prayers!

my favorite memory would have to be all the times my dad and I went and just hung out down there and talked for hours at a time. My heart goes out you guys. We've all lost a big part of lives and although I didn't get to see him much the last couple years as we know life gets in the way sometimes still one of the greatest men I'll ever know. He will be truly missed by anyone and everyone he knew.
