MITCHELL — Mary Frances Terrell, 69, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013, at her residence.

Born March 16, 1944, in Summer Shade, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William Martin “Bill” and Annie Belle (Riddle) Melton.

Mary Frances was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Post No. 250 Auxiliary, and Bedford Boat and Sportsman Club Auxiliary.

Her parents; first husband, Leroy “Dickie” VanMeter; and sister, Nellie Sue Slaten, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
