BEDFORD – Michael C. Elliott, 62, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospice House.
Born May 26, 1952, in Bedford, he was the son of Jack and Leona (Reynolds) Elliott. He married Marcella Jo Russell September 29, 1979.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1973. Mike retired from Naval Weapons Support Center—Crane Division. Following retirement he worked various jobs, most recently for Lawrence County Solid Waste. Mike had many friends, a great sense of humor and a love for life. His strong faith helped him overcome many obstacles throughout his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

His parents preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at the Bride of Christ Fellowship in Mitchell with Brother Jerry Allen officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service until 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the White River Humane Society.
