 PAOLI – Morris Coen Walton, 76, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Born June 20, 1940, in Mitchell, he was the son of Coen and Gertrude (Morris) Walton.  He married Nancy Catherine Gerkin August 13, 1960.

Morris retired from Lehigh Cement Company and was former fire chief of the Marion Township Fire Department.  He loved fishing and woodworking, and graduated with the Class of 1958 from Mitchell High School.

His parents and sister, Philis Sears, preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at Clark Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
