MITCHELL – Rick Dean King, 53, passed away at 2:05 p.m. at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospice House.

Born January 21, 1961, in Bedford, he was the son of Roger and Evelyn (Passmore) King.

He was a welder and mechanic and a 1979 graduate of Mitchell High School. Rick attended North Lawrence Vocational School and was a professional painter.  He loved to spend time with his daughter and granddaughters.  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.  Rick was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.

Surviving:      daughter, Jessica L. King and son in law, David Weaver, Bedford
 mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Robert Newport, Clay City
           granddaughters, Madison King Weaver

His father; paternal grandparents, Roy and Louise King; and maternal grandparents, Lydia and James Passmore, preceded him in death.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Friends may call from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    Shelley, Jeff and the rest of the King siblings Jessica and family was we was so sorry to hear about Ricks passing..We all had a lot of good times and memories together back in the day he will be missed.. My heart and prayers go out to all of you it's such a sad time. I lost my brother Tim in 1995 and still miss him every day so much with sympathy and prayers for all you may he rest in peace.
