MITCHELL – Ronald Bruce Chapman, 46, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born May 8, 1972, in Bedford, he was the son of Gordon Richard Chapman and Rosemary (Miles) Chapman. He married Katie Dawn Thomas October 1, 2001.

Ronald was employed 19 years at Foamcraft. He was a member of White River Bowhunters and enjoyed hunting and collecting trains.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Dr. Robert C. Courson, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Orleans.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Dear Katie, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of RB. I know there is pain in your heart right now. Please know that God cares about you and "is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit", (Psalm 34:18) He knows your pain, and promises that there will be a resurrection so we can see and hold those we have lost again (John 5:28,29). Words can't even express how much we will miss RB. As an employee he was always ready for the next challenge and seen it through. One of the most dedicated employees I have seen. What I will miss the most though is the friendship we developed over the years. The 4pm production meeting will not be the same. My prayers are with you and your family Katie.

It is with a sad heart we offer our condolences to RB's family. I met him during a brief stint of filling in for Becky, at Mitchell, and found him to be a very typical Foamcraft employee, extremely loyal. We have lost a good one and it saddens us deeply.
