MITCHELL – Ronald Edward Woodford, 78, passed away at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born December 5, 1935, in Winnebago, Minnesota, he was the son of Russell and Margaret (Liechtinberg) Woodford. He married Wanda Maxine Sanders August 13, 1955, and she preceded him in death March 31, 2014.

Ron was a retired hard working man. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and wonderful grandfather and great grandfather.

His parents; son, Randy Eugene Woodford; sister, Charlotte Brown and two other siblings; and grandson, Benjamin Tirey, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Jonah and Jason Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Sorry I could not get to the funeral home. I worked with Ron at Spring Mill Inn. He was a good man & a good worker.
