 MITCHELL – Scott Douglas McFarland, 50, passed away Monday evening, February 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born May 27, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Samuel D. and Elva Mae (Conner) McFarland.

He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1984.  Scott had been employed 25 years at Hoosier Cut Stone and most recently at Indiana Stoneworks.  He enjoyed fishing and Nascar Racing.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, at Mitchell Cemetery with Gary Spear officiating.

    McFarland Family, I am deeply saddened by Scott's death. He and I grew up and ran around together all during and after we got out of school. He was a good man and a hard worker. I will miss seeing him from time to time in that truck of his and waving every time we passed each other... My condolences.
