MITCHELL — William G. Lane, 87, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born February 22, 1928, in Mitchell, he was the son of Isom and Emma (Goldsberry) Lane.
William was a retired teacher in the state of Michigan, a member of the National Education Association and a life-time member of the Michigan Retired Teachers Association.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
