WILLIAMS – Amel Dee Robertson, 59, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born January 21, 1960, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Donald Earl and Betty June (Tolbert) Robertson.

Amel had been employed at Indiana Limestone and Mitchell Transport.  He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and John Deere, and enjoyed going to truck shows.  Amel was a 1978 graduate of Mitchell High School.

    Sorry for you all"s loss. I was fortunate to run around with Amel, Dean Smith, and Jeff&Jim Tolbert in a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 in the late great 70's. Jeff took us to the WAKY tower in Louisville on sat. night. Seemed like we all had good cheap fun all the time. Best of times!

    I have known Amel for many years.Our parents were friends and visited sometimes. Amel worked with my husband at Lawrence County Highway Dept.He will be missed. Prayers for his family.

    Amel was my neighbor. He sure heloed me a lot after my husband, Steve died. Your dad/brother may have been stubborn some times but he was a softy at heart. I was in his class at school too.I remember him letting a pig in ...I can say that now because he can't get in trouble. LOL He was fun back then You had a good dad & brother. .
