MITCHELL – Annie Belle Melton, 81, Mitchell, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born April 16, 1924, in Kettle, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Culbert and Mary Ethel (Groce) Riddle. She married William M. “Bill” Melton December 16, 1942, and he preceded her in death October 1, 2003.
She was a seamstress and retired from M. Fine & Son. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bow, Kentucky.

Her parents; husband; daughter, Nellie Sue Slaten; sisters, Cleo Miller and Hettie Rush; and half brother, Leo Riddle, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
