WEST BADEN SPRINGS — Barbara Hall died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020, at the age of 78 in West Baden Springs, IN, surrounded by her family.   She was born on Sep 3rd, 1941, in Camden, Arkansas to James Robertson and Katherine Scott Mitchell.

She is survived by her brother and sisters, Katy Weikert, Robby Mitchell, and Kristi Elia, and Barbara’s four children: Michael, Christopher and Jeffrey Hall, and Melissa Mitchell, and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Barbara and Ron raised their four children in Oklahoma and Texas. The couple later moved to California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, her parents, her brother, Terry, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Joshua. 

Following the death of her husband in 2007, Barbara moved to West Baden Springs, Indiana, to be closer to her sister, Katy, where she was very active in local community organizations including the West Baden Research Club, P.E.O., and a local book club. She regularly attended town council meetings with her sister, Katy Weikert as well as church services at Mitchell Wesleyan, where she was on the prayer team, and Red Quarry Christian Church, where she enjoyed storytelling to the entire congregation. Barbara loved people and never met a stranger.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara was held at Mitchell Wesleyan Church on Friday, August 14th. Barbara will be buried next to her husband, Ron, in Dixon, California.
