MITCHELL – Betty Dorsett Cornwall, 79, Mitchell, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007, at Dunn Memorial Hospital, Bedford.
Born July 29, 1927, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Chester and Oma (Bridges) McCart. She was first married to Robert L. Dorsett in 1943. Her second marriage was to Floyd A. Cornwall on August 14, 1971, and he preceded her in death August 13, 1996.
She was formerly employed at General Electric and Ted’s Restaurant, and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.

Her parents; husband; daughter, Connie Woods; son, Robert S. Dorsett; brother, Orgal McCart; and sisters, Goldena Balaban, Annice Poland, Juanita Abel, Virginia Leslie, and an infant sister preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
