MITCHELL Betty J. Briscoe, 83, Mitchell, passed away at 11:16 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 22, 1925, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Boston) Rippy. She married James M. Briscoe September 4, 1965, and he preceded her in death February 12, 1996.
She was a homemaker and a member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church. Betty graduated from Mitchell High School in 1945.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Shake officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
