BEDFORD – Brenda Louise Blair, 80, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born March 2, 1941, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Homer and Audrey Evalou (Williams) Root.  She married James Lyle Blair, Jr. May 26, 1972.

Brenda was a homemaker, a graduate of Bedford High School, and a member of Tulip Street Christian Church.  She was an avid reader, and cared for her grandchildren while they were growing up.

                            children, Brian Edward (Rachel) Terry of  Shoals                                        

                                           Barry (Patty) Terry of Livonia

                                           Beth Terry of Mitchell

                                           Jaime (Steve) Grissom of Mitchell

                                            seven grandchildren, four step grandchildren

                                            one great-grandchild, nine step great-grandchildren

                                            two step great-great-grandchildren

                                sister,  Nancy Jones of Columbus

Her parents; granddaughter, Leena Grissom; and siblings, Billy Root, Vernon Root, and Danny Root, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 4, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Darrin Chastain officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
