MITCHELL – Burl R. Terrell, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Mitchell Manor following a long battle with cancer.

Born February 11, 1936, in Lawence County, he was the son of Burl R. Terrell, Sr.and Lillian (Ray) Terrell Jeans.  He married Lois M. Ratliff March 7, 1953.

Burl owned B & L Auto Repair and retired in 1998. He was a member and deacon of Spice Valley Baptist Church. Burl’s favorite pass times were reading his Bible and  playing golf where he achieved a hole-in-one.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at Spice Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Allen officiating.  Burial will be Spice Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the church.

    I am so sorry to hear about Burl. I had the pleasure of helping him with his phone for many years, at Walmart. He was truly a special man. He was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He had a way of making everyone feel special. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family.
