ORLEANS Elwood Parish, 87, Orleans, passed away at 1:29 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Bloomington Hospital.

Born March 20, 1918, in Orange County, he was the son of Harry and Mae (Hall) Parish. He married Beulah Boyd May 23, 1936, and she survives.

He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church, and a 1936 graduate of Orleans High School. He was a farmer and a self employed paint and body man.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Dunbar and Rev. Warren Schoenecker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
