MITCHELL — Charles Lee Pemberton, 80,passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Born September 19, 1938, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jesse Elbert and Lillian Fay (Roberts) Pemberton.  He married Loretta Jean Holsapple September 19, 1959, and she preceded him in death April 30, 2007.

Charles retired from Regal-Beloit and loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

He was a U. S. Navy veteran.

His parents; wife; and sister, Carol Watson and preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Steve Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
