ORLEANS Cletis Ray Evans, 68, Orleans, passed away at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Indiana University Health Bloomington.

Born April 10, 1943, in Washington County, he was the son of Roy Moss and Martha Ellen (Temple) Evans. He married Rebecca Mae Parish September 2, 1972.

He was a former member of the Indiana National Guard.

He was a 1962 graduate of Orleans High School and a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church. Cletis was a driver for Peak Trucking in Shoals and was also a truck owner.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Kilhorn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
