MITCHELLDavid Tanksley, 58, Mitchell, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at his daughter’s residence in Bloomfield.
Born December 14, 1949, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Roland Woodrow and Martha (Brewster) Tanksley. He married Beverly Conley June 20, 1969.
He was formerly employed at Aleris Aluminum Recycling Company and was a member of Tulip Street Christian Church. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1967.

His parents; brothers, Jack Tanksley, and infant, Bobby Lee Tanksley; and infant sisters, Barbara JoAnn and Cheryl Diane Tanksley, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
