MITCHELL – Donald L. “Leroy” Briscoe, 80, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Born January 17, 1937, in Mitchell, he was the son of Ora Virgil and Hopal Vera (Matthews) Briscoe.  He was married to Varda Jacqueline “Jackie” Kern February 16, 1957, and she preceded him in death December 14, 1962.  His second marriage was to Shirley (Walts) Hamilton November 20, 1964.

Leroy retired from Dana Corporation and was a member of Tulip Street Christian Church.  He enjoyed racing, woodworking, fishing, and yard work.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Max Timbrook officiating.    Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
