I was unfortunately not aware of Donna B's passing. Words cannot express the sense of loss. I remember many evenings playing crazy rummy with her and Pastor Bill. She was one of the kindest souls I ever encountered and always pushed me to be the best version of myself. She was God Mother to our son Gabriel and I know she looking down from heaven with a wry smile. Our deepest sympathies are with all who knew and loved her.

Donna, one of two of my mother’s only first cousins, was a big part of our life growing up, as we spent every major holiday with her and her parents, till they passed away, in Mitchell. As kids, we were privileged to have two celebrations of Christmas and Easter—a tree, gifts, or Easter baskets to find in the side yard. Looking back, she was always most generous with all of us kids—me and my three sisters and our cousins, Jackie and Jeff. It is with the fondest memories that we say good bye to this generous, gentle woman.
