It's not so much how we come into this world that matters, or even our struggles or triumphs along the way, but how we finish the race. Elise finished with such strength and grace. I really admire how she found peace with everything, made sure she didn't leave anything left unsaid to those she loved and cared about, and finished strong. Our loss is heaven's gain.

I met Elise while we were both on Boston. She is one of the sweetest and most compassionate people I've known. It is because she has the mischievous sense of humor of a Hobbit and the loving heart of a true angel that we remained friends after returning to our reductive homes. She is loved and will be missed dearly.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had Elise in class when I was teaching at EHS and loved her smile and positive attitude. All of you and your willingness to work with us at the school as she navigated dealing with her heart was amazing and made such an impact on me about the power of working as team to champion students. She was such a great human and I am heartbroken to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with you at this incredibly difficult time.

Elise was a very kind, sweet young lady. Her passion for animals was obvious, especially her love for cats. I got to see her a few weeks ago and right by her side on the bed, was her kitty. She is loved by many friends and especially her family. Even though she did not feel good towards the end, she still had a good attitude. She knew she was heading to a place where God would give her a new body and an eternal home. See you soon Elise!! Chris, Les, Lauren, Bob and Connie, we love you and are praying for you. Love, Eric, Sandy, Taylor, Tanner and Taryn

Elise was a kind person from animals to her friends or people down on their luck . She was loved by many and her parents supported her always . She will be missed . She told me she was anxious to see what the afterlife was about and it was kind of neat she would know and we would not ! She went with a great attitude . Love her and the Sherwoods. Wendy Bledsoe
