MITCHELL Evelyn C. Watterson, 81, Mitchell, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, at StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Born October 19, 1924, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Artie and Vanice (Arnold) Pruett. She married John L. Watterson April 12, 1947, and he preceded her in death June 6, 2002.
She was a member of Tulip Street Christian Church and a 1943 graduate of Mitchell High School. She had been employed at Reliance Manufacturing and was a homemaker.

Her parents, husband, and brother, William L. Pruett, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Max Timbrook officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
